We are developing a mobile application for one of the largest marketplaces in the CEE region! The long-term partnership is based on very close cooperation with the internal team of developers, which we empowered not only in terms of capacity, but especially by sharing technological and architectural know-how. We have gradually refactored the entire application, and thanks to the unification of business logic for iOS and Android platforms, we are saving a significant part of the costs when developing new functions. 💰

Full refactoring during continuous development
Outdated code-base and the need to maintain existing applications - this was the challenge we faced at the beginning of the cooperation. It was necessary to make a difficult decision whether to rewrite the application from the ground up, so-called "on the green field" or to transform the current unsatisfactory state. After a thorough analysis, we recommended to follow the path of gradual refactoring, which we subsequently guided from the technological side. Today, the application is based on the robust principles of Clean Architecture, most of the business logic is shared using Kotlin Mutliplatform, and nothing prevents the planned expansion to other markets.
